Welcome to the Annual edition of Royal Reporter, which comes at the tail end of a particularly heavy monsoon season in India and in the midst of an unseasonably early start to the rainy season in Bali! A couple of issues ago, we ran a feature on so-called raindrop tourism, which brought to the fore some of the advantages of visiting southern India destinations such as Goa and Kerala during the wet months. But the monsoon is an important time for us here at Royal for an entirely different reason too - it's during this period that we galvanize the Royal troops and set about ensuring that all of our properties are in tip top condition. This means carrying out renovations, providing new facilities and services and generally improving the Royal product, which of course you are part owner in. We sometimes receive queries about the annual maintenance fees that members pay, so in this issue of Royal Reporter, we've rallied the management at each of our resorts to explain just what they've been doing over the last couple of months. So our features section will hopefully give you some clarification about where your maintenance contribution goes and provide some assurance that far from resting on our laurels during the quiet season, we're making sure that all our members continue to receive a superlative destination experience.
