KSPA continues its global roll out..monsoon and all!

Greetings from magical Monterio where the monsoon rain this season has flooded Goa with all its thrill and beauty...Judy Chapman, Karma-Royal's spa curator gives us the lowdown...

Renovations are now underway to create Royal's 4th spa facility located at magical Monterio in North Goa. Situated in the previous Poco Loco restaurant (which has now moved to street frontage and is 'the' place to be for weekend jazz nights), the space lends itself so well to spa. With its octaganal shaped interior and high ceilings, the area already feels so sanctum-like. Come October and we will see the unveiling of KSPA which will feature 3 treatment rooms including a pedicure/reflexology station overlooking the pool, a spa retail concept lounge facing the river as well as a couples treatment room and dedicated ayurvedic area. What's exciting is that the menu will offer a blend of traditional ayurvedic therapist delivered by qualified doctors to more modern experiences such as the signature Warm Shell Massage and Tibetan Singing Bowl Massage. Even better, we are bringing over one of our top Balinese massage therapists to train our entire team in the Balinese massage - so members at all four resorts in Goa will be able to take this healing massage therapy next time they vacation. Yes its all true....KSPAS ARE THE PLACE TO PREEN, PAMPER, NURTURE & SOOTHE...

 

Just quickly to inform you that you will be thrilled to hear that KSPA has finally appointed a Spa Manager. His name is Gusde Manuaba 'Agus' and of Balinese nationality. Gusde brings a wealth of experience to the brand. Previous positions include the Amara Spa at Park Hyatt in Dubai and the renowned Willowstream Spa at Fairmont in Dubai. As well, he is a qualified spa trainer in therapies inclusive of Balinese, Swedish & Thai massage as well as reflexology, Indian head massage and aromatherapy. He has also trained with some of the best spa product brands including Aromatherapy Associates and is a graduate from the 'Santi Yoga School' in Bali.
